While it is preferred that participants already have some canyoning and abseiling / rapelling experience, there is also the option to take fast learners. You must be comfortable with heights, big water jumps and sometimes fast flowing water. You should be a capable swimmer and comfortable in deep water, as some abseils involve unclipping from the rope in deep pools. Good physical fitness is required, as most intermediate canyons only have one entry point and one exit, which is the end of the canyon.

An easy 10 minute walk from the carpark takes you to the canyon start. Jump 4m into crystal clear water. Climb down rocks, then take a water slide. First abseil is to a cave behind a thundering waterfall. Incredible. Wade or swim across the pool and trek for 5 minutes to the next abseil. Deep, dark and narrow, the next section is home to large bats. More abseiling, then scrample through a thumping waterfall, before you reach a small dam. A few stairs, then a 200m walk to base camp. One for your bucket list. Add it to the Double Canyon trip for Bali’s most fantastic technical adventure experience.
Canyon duration +/- 5 hours
Adult – $250 AUD.
You will know this canyon is right for you if you’d rather jump the 5 metre first abseil into a crystal clear pool. Easily a favourite for any guide and excited canyoneer, this Bali canyon does not disappoint. Water jumps, tricky abseil descents and beautifully sculpted towering canyon walls are what you can expect in Aling canyon, with variation between still pools and fast flowing rapids. Cap your Aling canyoning adventure with a 50 metre descent beside the tumbling Aling waterfall, a famous North Bali icon. Did we mention bats? Two colonies of bats inhabit the canyon, so while we regularly operate this trip in the dry season, we don’t run it daily, so the bat colonies are seldom disturbed by our passage below their roosts.
Your guide, equipment, lunch and transport are all included. Ages 16+.
